A village named Taimara is located about 40 km from Ranchi on Tata Road, where in the flow of the Kanchi River, DThe Dassam Falls is a natural cascade across the Kanchi River, a tributary of the Subarnarekha River. The water falls from a height of 44 metres (144 ft), making a wonderful site around. The place is surrounded by mesmerizing sceneries, and known as Dassam Ghagh.
Dassam Fall, also known as Dassam Ghagh, is another popular waterfall in the Ranchi region. The falls are believed to be split into 10 streams, and hence the name "dassam". The River Kanchi, a tributary of the larger Subarnarekha, falls from a height of 144 feet to create this cascading length of natural, untouched beauty.
You can hear the gushing echoes of these falls even from a distance, inviting you to feast on the sheer beauty and resounding peace. Though it is usually the practice to splash around the falls in Ranchi, Dassam Falls are particularly swift and not suited for bathing.
