Jodhpur, also known as the ‘Blue City’ because of the blue walls of its houses, is most famous for the impressive Mehrangarh Fort.
- The fort is one of the largest in India. Inside the fort are magnificent palaces made of intricately carved panels and traditional latticed windows and doors.

Tourist Attraction :
- Foundation was laid by Rao Jodha in 1459. You will see:
- Phool Mahal : Arguably the grandest of the chambers, it was in all likelihood a private and exclusive chamber for dancing girls who danced for the pleasure of the kings under a ceiling filled with gold filigree.
- Other chambers like the Moti Mahal, the Sheesh Mahal, the Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana have also been made with traditional Rajasthani latticed doors and windows and carved panels.
- Jaswant Thada : On the way up to the Mehrangarh Fort, stop and appreciate the graceful and intricately carved marble cenotaph dedicated to an erstwhile ruler, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II.
Jaswant Thada is the traditional cremation ground of the rulers of Jodhpur.
