- Sangameshwara Temple in Pattadakal is one of the oldest temples in Karnataka.
- It was built by Chalukya King Vijayaditya.

- It comprises of an inner passage, a hall and a Sanctum and the outer
wall of the temple consists of the structures of Ugranarasimha and
Nataraja.
- This Dravidian style temple was earlier known as Vijayeswara temple.
- However, the hall and the roof of the Sangameshwara Temple are of similar design with the well-known Virupaksha Temple.
- Skillfully and amazingly crafted structure, the temple is a perfect example to witness the traditional heritage of Chalukya architecture.
