- The Gitai Mandir is a beautiful temple located in the village of Gopuri, near Vishwa Shanti Stupa.
- This is the mandir where Vinoba’s Gitai became perpetual.
- An extremely renowned attraction in the city of Wardha it was inaugurated in 1980 by Acharya Vinoba Bhave.
- Vinoba Bhave translated the Bagwat Gita in the book Gitai.
- The temple has been built using stones and is unique in its architecture.
- These are etched with the eighteen sections of Bhagwad Gita and are arranged vertically in the shape of a cow and 18 ‘Shlokas’ (sections) of the Gita are engraved on it.
- The most captivating thing about this temple, however, is that it does not have a roof nor does has house of any deity’s idol,
- In the temple’s vicinity, beautiful little park can be seen.
- Beside the mandir, permanent exhibition is arranged in the Shanti Kuti, an exhibition is organized depicting the life of Jamnalal Bajaj, Acharya Vinoba Bhave and Mahatma Gandhi.
