Bhushi Dam: It is a popular picnic spot, located at a distance of about 5 km from Lonavala. A wonderful waterfall near the dam is one of the most exciting places. The dam is filled with rainwater in the monsoon.

Bhushi Dam Near Lonavala Pune In Winter |
Bushi dam is located a few kilometers from Lonavala and is a (very) weekend hangout popular for Pune 'its. When overflows the dam Bushi, water flows through a series of steps and then on some rocky Terrian easily accessible. The land and water to make a combination of fun and that's why Bushi Dam gets very crowded on weekends. Crowded, that a first time vistor (like me) would be looking for the "steps" that everyone talks about, only to realize that every inch of the measures have been busy.

Each open space near Bushi dam will have a board of "Bushi Dam parking" and guys will literally peeping inside your car and turning the wheel to the car park. Thebest place to park would be beyond the dam (which comes from Lonavala) om the sides of the road. Street parking also helps to leave the place quickly. No single yellow lines / double to bother here.
To get to the dam, you have to walk through knee-deep water (depending on water level). There are many shops selling rubber slippers that are more suitable for water / rock instead of expensive fake Nike shoes. However, I realized that many were well prepared and had brought the worst shoes they could find at home.
Bushi Dam is so commercialized to the extent that there are a dozen stores in the small area next to the dam to sell anything from corn and pakodas with chai. Guests can relax on the stairs and order and will be delivered to you at your doorstep.
Overall, this is a good place to visit if you like getting wet, from head to toe.
